Arcadia moves from fixed to flex
Reported by both Tomorrow’s SEM and Business Up North, the British retail group Arcadia, owner of brands such as Topshop and Miss Selfridge, has signed a three-year flexible contract with us for the supply and management of gas to 73 of its UK-based stores. After previously using fixed contracts, this marks the first time the retail giant has used a flexible gas contract.
As a flexible gas customer, Arcadia will have access to InSight, our new online energy management tool. This means that the in-house purchasing team can monitor the energy market on-demand and trade according to market price and price signals. Dean Laurent, Purchasing Controller at Arcadia said: “Gazprom Energy’s InSight tool allows us to understand our gas consumption while giving us the ability to monitor the market to ensure we’re getting the best possible deal, it’s very easy to navigate around and provides us with a clear visibility of our market position.”
Having previously been contracted to provide Arcadia with gas from 2011 to 2016, we’re excited to continue our relationship with the business well into the future.
InSight benefits look good on paper
We’ve been getting some press in print thanks to InSight, too. Energy Zine reported on our strategic energy management tool at the beginning of October, noting its variety of benefits to both energy customers and consultant partners. InSight’s streamlined abilities make strategic energy buying through an in-depth real-time view of the market easier than ever before.
This means that both organisations and customers can be more agile in their purchasing of energy, leading to shrewder, more pragmatic buys and financial savings further down the line.
