Please tell us a bit about your professional background, what attracted you to working at Gazprom Energy, and how long you’ve been with the business.
I started with Gazprom Energy on our apprenticeship scheme, just two weeks after finishing secondary school. I was attracted to the scheme because it offered the opportunity to develop multiple skills and, most importantly, gain valuable experience.
Once I finished my 12-month apprenticeship, I worked within our Customer Services team for three years – followed by a two-year stint in our Customer Transfers department. Eventually, I moved from an operational role into a commercial one, becoming a member of the Corporate Sales team.
What is your position within the team, and what does your role involve day-to-day?
I have recently been promoted to Corporate Account Manager. I worked as Corporate Account Executive for over three years, and was responsible of providing day-to-day support to the Account Managers within the Corporate team.
Having previous customer service experience and a good foundation in operations means that I’m able to assist with complex queries that arise across the corporate accounts and portfolios that I support on.
What do you find enjoyable and satisfying about your role within the business?
I find query management and problem-solving within my role particularly satisfying – especially when we can offer a service that accurately meets a customer’s needs within their existing service level agreement.
If we provide our customers with an excellent journey and experience, it then gives them the confidence to extend their contracts with us.
What skills has your role enabled you to develop, and how do you put these into practice to benefit our customers?
Working as Corporate Account Executive has helped me to develop my interpersonal and communication skills. I have been able to put these into practice by maintaining productive dialogues with our customers, ensuring they’re kept up-to-date with ongoing queries relating to their accounts.
