I think it’s important to show a thirst for knowledge and work very hard! As the company evolves, opportunities arise and these two things put you in a good position to apply for new roles within Gazprom Energy.
I work with a lot of very experienced people so I’ve learnt a lot by asking questions and doing things that don’t always fall within my remit. The management team and technical specialists are always very willing to help, give advice and answer questions. I’ve also taken full advantage of our Core Offer learning programme to do industry training as well as leadership courses. Most of my learning is on the job which I like.
I got the opportunity to learn about flexible purchasing and see how negotiations are carried out and transacted with some of the largest energy consumers in the country. I saw this as an excellent chance to widen my knowledge of the market and I have no doubt this will help me progress further down the line.
I want to gain as much knowledge as possible in my new role as Corporate Account Manager. This role exposes me to a new market and new products which is exciting. The business has exciting growth plans and our managers are genuinely interested in offering people the chance to develop so I want to learn as much as I can and see what opportunities come up next.
