Please tell us a bit about your professional background, what attracted you to working at Gazprom Energy, and how long you’ve been with the business.
I joined the company back in January 2011, when we were based across just one small office building floor. Now, we’re situated across two buildings and have grown immensely in that time – which has been great to experience!
I started with Gazprom Energy as an apprentice working in the Gas sales team, where I supported both the sales and trading functions. From there, I worked my way through the ranks from SME Sales Negotiator to SME Team Leader, before transitioning into the corporate team in November 2014.
What is your position within the team, and what does your role involve day-to-day?
I’m a Corporate Account Manager, focusing on key renewals with third-party intermediaries (TPIs) across the corporate portfolio. I have extensive experience in dealing with large multi-site contracts, and bring a high level of expertise to retail and housing type portfolios, as well as large industrial users.
What makes Gazprom Energy different to other business energy suppliers?
Gazprom Energy is young, dynamic, and vibrant. The fact that there is an open-door policy with all our senior management – as they are sat among the rest of the team – demonstrates that we are working towards the same goals.
What do you find enjoyable and satisfying about your role within the business?
My role is forever changing, and I never do the same thing day-to-day; this means that I am constantly learning and trading new ideas with colleagues across the business.
Gazprom Energy is a company that trusts its employees and gives them the flexibility to shape their roles. It also helps to be within walking distance of the company’s various departments – this makes it easier to get the best outcomes for complex queries!
What skills has your role enabled you to develop, and how do you put these into practice to benefit our customers?
Having been at the company since 2011, I know the systems like the back of my hand – having gained knowledge of both commercial and operational areas. This enables me to work on queries at a quicker pace, thereby reducing the response times for our customers and improving their overall experience with the business.
